A Defiant Sharon
Israeli PM Ariel Sharon reversed his pledge and is now exhorting Israellis to build new settlements in the occupied territories. 
I asked just one month ago whether Sharon's acceptance of the US "Roadmap" and denouncement of Israeli "occupation"of the West Bank signaled a new perspective on peace in the Middle East. It took just the blink of an eye -- and a dozen more Palestinian suicide bombers -- for an answer to arrive.
